The short answer
- Pick Klakk if you want recordings of real keyboards, the App Store’s checkout, or the app in one of its 11 languages.
- Pick Teclo for a longer trial, a Mac on macOS 13, packs that are not keyboards, trackpad and scroll sounds, or the keycap pet.
Recorded packs and their volume
Klakk’s maker says its 14 packs were “recorded from real mechanical keyboards”, and conceded on Product Hunt that “different sound packs do have varying baseline volumes”, with levelling promised. Teclo’s packs are synthesized and levelled to the same loudness when they are rendered, so switching packs does not change the volume; you set that once with Teclo’s own slider.
Trial length
Three days is a short time to learn whether you like a sound all day. Teclo’s 7 days cover a full working week; after that it costs $4.99 once for up to 3 Macs. You can also play every Teclo pack in the browser before installing anything.
